Thought I would do something a bit diferent with blog today. You know try to extend to other genres and stuff to reflect what I'm listening to at the moment. ANyway first up something for all the indie kids.
Wolfie - Ice Cream
Wolfie came out with one of the best first demos I have ever heard from a band. Apparently there's a split single coming out sometime this summer which I'm looking forward too. Anyways I love this track at the moment. As soon as you hear it I guaruntee it will be stuck in your head all day. As usual I'm not really sure how to describe it but maybe poppy indie rock with female vocals. Doesn't really narrow it down does it? Listen to the track, you will definitely enjoy it. Amazing lyrics too.
Digitalism - Pogo (Radio Edit)
New single by Digitalism. Id it out yet? I've actually had it for 2 months now and its filling up the dance flors quite nicely. A bit different to the usual digitalism stuff, more of an indie disco feel to it rather than jagged electro.

Now back when I was much younger I used to have quite a few tapes that I listened to, and many of these were hip hop mix tapes. One of my favourites was a tape of rare Notorious B.I.G. songs. I went and downloaded some of the tracks and here's a couple for you to enjoy, seeing as many indie kids don't really explore other genres unless its on pitchfork. Biggie Smalls is an amazing lyricists and here's a couple tracks which you may not have heard.
